LETTER TO MY UNBORN CHILD

As I was about tuning off the radio when this hot inspiring song came popping on the my transistor, a song by Banky W “To my unborn child” let me try and mime the lyrics of this touching song
I can’t wait to love you
I promise I will be there for you
To my unborn child
To my unborn child eh eh
I can’t wait to love you
I promise I will be there for you
To my unborn child
To my unborn child eh eh
The chorus of the song gave me interest in the song, now listen further,
I pray that you go farther
Like you or one of your siblings, could maybe go to Harvard
I pray me and your Momma had true love
And that we showed by example what it’s made of
And I pray that we made you rich
But if I aint give you what you want, I gave you all you need
And I pray you get the best of me
And that you’ll always strive to be all that you can be
I pray that you find the one
And that you never let her go, don’t be like me son
Or baby girl, yes I pray that you find a man that would never
Treat you like I treated some girlfriends
I pray God makes this clearer:
The only person standing in your way is the one in the
Mirror
And most of all, I pray that you win
And that you never ever pay for anyone of my sins
I can’t wait to love you
I promise I will be there for you
Guess you are getting more interested, infact I also longed to hear more of the song, here are words from a successful father to his child, lets listen more
In life there are certain things which are inevitable
Hope you find a man that will treat you right and you listen to
Real love still exists, mommy is living proof
Always be aware of company you keep
And never let your feelings show when you slip
it’s a cold world mehn
Many disguise like they really sheep
But turn around and they back stab in a heart beat
And remember, money isn’t everything
But your last name can get you anything
Always put God first in everything you plan
While me and your mom support you anyway we can
And my sons confirmed to be bad guys
Cos back then, daddy was a fly guy
And the apple wouldn’t fall far from the tree
I hope they grow to be a greater version of me (greater
Version of me)
The song ended with Lynx’ on the last verse
So if I have a daughter, I hope I taught her
These niggas are wolves looking for lambs to slaughter
Don’t let them hurt you girl, protect your heart
Make him deserve you baby, girl you’re a star
To my lil man, yea it’s dad again
I know you want it all but where do I begin
If it hasn’t worked out yet, it ain’t the end
And it’s ok to fail, as long as you try again
Some people flip like a light switch, shameful
And everything that’s really good, is really ain’t gold
Greener on the other side, some say so
Make sure you cut the grass low, so the snakes show
They say they love you, then they leave you, it’s no debate
Loyalty is thin as ice, it’s easy to skate
A promise is easy to make and easy to break
Just be a man of your words, whatever it takes
Whoops as I take the break off that song, Let me take this oppourtunity to congratulate ex-president on his past achievement; and say this to Nigerians reading this that with the high expectation from the recent administration; do let us realize that its very easy to shatter a building; putting together the bricks might take a long time, am very optimistic that within the first 100days of the new administration insurgency would be on the run in Nigeria.
To my unborn child, I'll probably tell you there was a President who started his admistration with removal of fuel subsidy and left with fuel scaricty, I would also tell you, there was a man who left the aso rock peacefully after admitting defeat, Baby, I wouldn't forget to tell you; God rewards only those who have dilegently served Akinwumi Adesina who stood out for sucess in the Jonathan/Sambo admministration who by my standard has been so far the most successful minister of agriculture, who on the day his boss disolved his cabinet was elected as the first Nigeria to be the President of Africa Development Bank, I would teach my unborn child never to give up on any of her goals because determination and perseverance makes one excel no matter how long.
I would remind my child how a 72 year old man became the oldest President of Nigeria after trying on three consecutive time. So many things to tell my unborn child as my list are endless. Sometimes in life you are left to make some decision on your own not for you to make mistakes but for you to learn on how to do things better, I wouldn’t want my unborn child to fall into the pit I fell into but I would rather prefer him/her to jump over my pit and spit at it.
Yes life would get better, yes I have attended hundreds of motivational lectures, and I have resolved and realized the greatest motivation is self-motivation, if I refuse to motivate myself Bill Gates can’t do that for me, quoting the lyrics from my theme song “the only person standing in your way is the one in the mirror”
I would teach my daughter to stand strong act as a lady and think like a man; I would teach my son not to compete with anybody but compete with who he was yesterday because he has better days ahead; My generation my generation, you will surely make Nigeria proud.
If my child isn’t proud to call me dad in public then I have impacted nothing but fear into her.
God Bless Nigeria.
