Falcao joins Chelsea on loan

Colombian striker, Radamel Falcao has
returned to the English Premier
League but this time, teamed up with
former Atletico Madrid player, Diego
Costa at Chelsea.
The Monaco forward, who spent last
season on-loan at Manchester United,
completed another loan move to the
Stamford Bridge, with the option to
make the deal permanent.
Falcao scored just four goals for
United last season in 29 appearances
for the Old Trafford side, and he will
now link up with Thibaut Courtois,
Filipe Luis and Diego Costa, whom he
played along with at the Vincent de
Caldron before switching to French
Ligue 1.
Croatian midfielder Mario Pasalic, 20,
goes the other way on loan for the
season.
"I am very happy to be joining Chelsea
and can't wait to start training,"
Falcao said.
The striker scored 72 goals in two
seasons for FC Porto between 2009
and 2011, before joining Atletico
Madrid.
After 70 goals in two prolific seasons
with the Spanish side, Monaco signed
him for £50m in 2013.
He suffered anterior cruciate ligament
damage in January 2014 and joined
United on loan that summer but had a
disappointing time at Old Trafford.
Falcao and Costa have previously
played up front together for Atletico
and won the 2013 Copa del Rey final
against Real Madrid. BBC
