BEST THING THAT EVER HAPPENED

You were stunned and attracted by the caption of my latest write-up wondering what does this young man has for me to read today, interestingly I have the best article that could just turn on your day. I would like to be straight and open herein where I would tell the whole wide world (www) the best thing that has ever happened at my very tender age, whoops! Did someone just say ‘what my business with your personal life?  I bet you have to finish up this piece to answer that question because this is just right for you.

I have read close to a hundred article about best thing that has ever happened to people, some would say, getting a job was their best, others would say getting married was their best, some guys would even tell a girl meeting her was the best thing that has ever happened to him, love stucked or what do call that? A song was rated the best in Billboard magazine Hot country singles chart on October 6 1973 it was by Ray Price titled ‘you are the best thing that ever happened to me’ I pray you to download the song and see how this man was so passionate about a girl being the best that has happened to him.

 Well, most people wouldn’t agree to the fact that the best things may probably be negative things, waoh I got someone confused right here, the best might presently be what you think is the worst or the most ridiculous let's get into some serious bussiness.

So far with my little and brief understanding about life one can’t conclude he is the best at something, he should rather say he hasn’t seen someone who could do it better than he has done because every blessed day the world record are broken and new records are been set. Some-one strongly disagreed with me and told me his worst ‘I lost my job a week to my wedding, as if that was not enough my finacee was kidnapped and a whooping ransom was demanded three days to our wedding; what other thing could be worse? I sympathized with him but wondered if he had died a night after his wedding, would he be able to tell me that story?

Another old man shared with me his worst predicament, ‘at 85 years of age, after having three children and a good number of grandchildren, he loosed his first son, the wife and their children to a plane crash all in the same day, what do you think about this man, oops someone said he still have two children doing fine, waoh I will be pleased to inform you that the pain in losing is greater than that in gaining, you lose a two year old child, you still remember till you die, you took pain in giving birth but you forget immediately you see the child. This Old man told me if he was giving that opportunity he would have chosen to die at the stake of his son and grandchildren. I then asked the old man a ‘stupid’ question, I said ‘baba, why have you not committed suicide ever since the incidence? The old man was stunned, so no matter how life has been worse no one wants to die shey?
Life isn’t a bed of roses like my old time Bishops use to say, when things are cool no one knows, the minute everything goes bad every one must hear, I have come to think and wonder something, the pastor who gives that wonderful sermon at the wedding ceremony would also give the stunning/heart healing sermon at a funeral using the same bible verse of John 3:16 in two different occasions.
Interestingly, there is no situation of life that doesn’t have an open door for someone out there, imagine the man who made the coffin for the late freedom fighter Nelson Mandela; probably he was a leaving through the nose, but that one contract could make a significant change in his life, waoh open doors for someone can be closed doors for some-one such is life.

I would like to quickly add that ‘the best thing that has happened to you doesn’t matter, what matter is the best way you turned that thing to work out for you’ yes, the worst that has happened to me, a friend of mine shared as I was rounding up my writing , ‘I was been expelled at my finial year in high school but that doesn’t mean I shouldn’t further in life’ that’s the optimistic feeling about life.

Like a famous motivational speaker would say ‘failure is when you fall and refuse to stand to your feet again’ if you have phobia for something that fear kills that drive in you, no matter how many times a kid falls when trying to walk he gets up and try again and again till mama claps for him/her, you learn how to ride a bicycle without being prepared to fall off it, what you need is get on the cycle and ride again.

Yet I haven’t told you the best thing that has happened to me, you wondering what it could be right? Well the best thing that has happened is you are reading this right now, and you are been inspired through my own little way. You can as well make other people inspired if you share this.
